Lead Collective Formed in the Fall of 2019 as several ministries decided to link arms and work more closely together in pursuit of a shared vision for the city of Greenville.

• The first of these ministries (Great Outdoor Adventure Trips) better known as GOAT, was founded by Ryan McCrary in 2008. What began as a hobby, became a thriving ministry, and full-time job for Ryan.

• Several years later as one of the GOAT staff members began to see an increasing need for a neighborhood focused ministry in the Nicholtown community, Cam Hill and his wife Joy formed Éleos ministry in 2016. Both of these ministries serve students from historically under-resourced communities in Greenville, employing unique strategies to achieve the same outcome – students equipped in their God-given potential, leading their peers and changing the world.

• When Cam and Ryan were approached by Kim Mogan, Founder and Director of GirlUp GVL, (a ministry serving vulnerable and marginalized teen girls) they decided to form a collective that would allow these ministries to be more effective through strategic partnerships and shared resources. GirlUp GVL decided to branch out on their own in the Spring of 2020, but we continue to partner closely together.

• In August 2021, Lead Collective launched a new ministry serving incarcerated youth through the Greenville County Juvenile Detention Facility, as well as students currently being serviced through DJJ, and the city of Greenville Police Departments, G.R.A.V.I.T.Y (gang reduction) program. This new ministry (REACH) serves students in a holistic way, providing mentoring services, coaching, case-management, and employment services through a 1 year re-entry program.
